Science
Letter from The Baker
I once read an illustration which I found helpful to explain the difference between a science textbook and the Bible. Imagine I discover an amazing and tantalising cake. I call in the scientists and they will tell me the chemical composition and structures that make up this cake. They can tell me how the cake is held together and why it is held together. But if I asked these scientists why the cake was made and for who they would be unable to answer. Then I call in the baker. He is someone who can tell me who it was made for and why. The Bible was not written as a science textbook, but rather as a testimony of The Creator as to why the world was made and for whom. Science may explain how and even when, but it does not answer the equally valid questions of why and for whom. |
